Here’s a list of a few side gigs that you could be doing now for either active or passive income.
Dental hygienist or part-time dentist on Saturdays (I did that for a couple of years after graduation).
Drive for Uber or Lyft
Medical Consulting
Brand ambassador for scrubs company, toothpaste company, cosmetic company, etc (Instagram is a great place to get noticed)
Join a telemedicine or teledentistry company (I did that for a little while and still do so from time to time)
Chart Review
Be part of Clinical Trials
Be an expert witness
Complete medical Surveys
Review Health Insurance Claims
Perform dental exams or physicals for military members (I did this for 2 years during my debt repayment journey and used the extra cash from that side job solely towards repaying my loans. That’s mostly what I used to have a successful debt snowball strategy revisited (on steroids).
Part-time position at a nursing home (I did this for a few months. I wasn’t a fan at all as I found it to be depressing but 2-3 hours a week of doing that helped)
Per diem/locums tenens positions (I enjoyed doing that)

Invest in real estate

Invest in tax liens

Do Airbnb (Take out a physician loan, acquire a multi-family property. Live in one unit and rent out the other units).

Write a book or start a blog about your experience working as a doc, or anything else you are passionate about
Start a youtube channel

Sell items on Craigslist, Etsy or Ebay (I sold a few things on Craigslist and made fast cash like that). It wasn’t much but it helped!
